Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm — Designer and Artist

“I often work with expressions such as anonymity, familiarity and ambience in order to find new directions within my work.”

About:

Working between her house within the forest of Småland and her Copenhagen based studio, Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm pulls from her daily experiences in both the rural and urban environments to create work with a sense of relevance to the everyday. Her design practice seeks out like-minded collaborators, committing together to create considered work that combines the highly function with ambient qualities; work with a sense of permanence and place. Pulling from her dual-heritage, natural materials stretch from her design work into a growing artistic practice, carefully analysing each project in order to utilise the appropriate materials and techniques. From her commercially produced pieces to a focus on artistic and site-specific works, her catalogue presents as a series of familiar surprises, personal yet with her audience in mind.
