Christian Flindt — Designer

“I want my designs to express what they can do – or more importantly what the user can do with them, in the most clear and natural way.”

About:

Working from his Frederiksberg studio in the heart of Copenhagen, designer Christian Flindt splits his time between material explorations and industrial design projects for some of Denmark’s leading manufacturers. Models in clay and cardboard carry as much weight as his experiments into illumination – treating luminaires as a material unto itself. His work with lighting sits on the cutting edge both in terms of environmental and functional concerns, and assist in creating atmospheres conducive to collaboration and a sense of community – both indoors and out. Technically complex designs are boiled down to their simplest form, resulting in intuitive objects that encourage interaction and contain a longevity through their design language and high level of manufacturing.
