About:

Characterised by their unique duel heritage – Stine Gam from Denmark and Enrico Fratesi from Italy, the work of GamFratesi walks a fine line between both cultures to deliver a range of products and spaces that speak of their combined approach to design. Their contemporary language builds on the design history of their respective countries – from the Danish connection to material, process and functionality, to the Italian affinity for the conceptual and intellectual. Whilst their furniture, lighting and objects present a timeless aesthetic, interior and exhibition spaces often highlight the playful and thematic aspects of their practice. Each project is built up by hand in their Copenhagen studio through sketches, models and mockups in paper, wood and fabric – resulting in objects and spaces that are inherently humanistic.
